Roadmap
Our Journey of Empowerment
Tracing the milestones that define YEA’s mission and impact.
In May 2022, YEA began the registration process, initiating its journey to create a platform dedicated to empowering African youth and addressing key challenges.
On August 5, 2022, YEA was officially registered under the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly, and Children, marking a significant milestone in establishing its mission.
YEA conducted its first project in collaboration with SGSP at Temeke Regional Hospital. This initiative focused on general cleanliness and a blood donation drive, engaging youth volunteers to demonstrate the power of youth-led community solutions.
In November 2022, YEA launched the Binti na Maendeleo program, empowering young women with leadership skills and confidence to overcome systemic barriers, foster gender equality, and inspire broader societal change.
YEA marked the International Day of People Living with Disability with awareness events and outreach activities, promoting inclusivity and reinforcing its commitment to creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities to thrive.

Throughout 2023, YEA conducted online campaigns, including the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, raising awareness and mobilizing youth to advocate for equality and safer communities.

In 2024, YEA finalized its 5-year strategic plan, outlining a roadmap to expand programs, foster sustainability, and empower more youth across Africa to achieve meaningful, long-term change
